In 2007, The Transformers return to the big screen for the first time in more than 20 years as an all new live-action film. The film directed by Michael Bay, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, and distributed by Dreamworks/Paramount.The characters are loosely based on original Generation 1 (1980\'s Transformers), but the story and overall look have been updated for a modern day telling.
