Director Chris Nolan and more in tone with the early comics than Tim Burton\'s gothic 1989 original or its follow-ups. As a boy, a young Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his parents were slain in front of his eyes. It was a trauma which led him to become obsessed with revenge. Disappearing into the remotest mountain regions of China, Bruce goes in search of counsel and soon finds himself training with a deadly but honorable ninja cult lead by the mysterious Ra\'s Al-Ghul. The discovery of a cave under his family\'s mansion and a prototype armoured suit which WayneTech head Lucius Fox lets him use, leads him to take on a new persona - one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong - Batman.
